Boat trailers, commercial trailers, very large RV's and horse trailers. Almost any trailer that couples to a 1 7/8", 2" or 2 5/16" ball can be moved with this equipment. Powrhitch has the brute capacity to get the job done. One unique feature of this machine is the optional ability to mount a 12 volt battery on board. You take the power source with you. The Powrhitch Model HD (Heavy Duty) - 24 volt powered trailer dolly The Powrhitch HD (Heavy Duty) requires 24 volts and is now available for optional on-board battery mounting just like the 12 volt Powrhitch 2. Now, regardless of your coupling size, one machine can handle a variety of trailers with this quick change feature. One ball size of your choosing comes standard with your purchase and additional ball sizes can be purchased.
Tire tread choices Purchasers have the option of specifying tire tread design at time of ordering. The Powrhitch Model 2 comes with your choice of a diamond tread pavement tire or our aggressive chevron tread ribbed design suitable for movement through dirt, grass or gravel. Power Wheel USA now offers a versatile mid-range tread design allowing movement over pavement as well as providing some enhanced capability off of paved surfaces. This tread design is available for a nominal fee at time of ordering. Worried about having a flat tire? Not a problem as any of our tires can be ordered as solid core foam filled providing the security of puncture proof construction. <<<< Click here to download PDF of specification sheet >>>> NOTICE REGARDING MOVING CAPACITY Please be aware that the moving capacities shown below are the maximum weights for which these units are capable on a level paved surface under ideal conditions. However, there are so many unseen factors that come into play when moving a trailer, we recommend you limit the weight you are moving to approximately 70% - 75% of the machine's capacity. This is to insure that you have reserve capacity to handle the unseen variables that you will always encounter. See FAQ #7 for a more detailed explanation.

Moving just about anything else Here's the scene. A heavily landscaped backyard and impossible to drive a truck into hauling a 25 ton capacity gas powered commercial log splitter without damaging shrubbery. The task was to get the splitter to the wood as some of the log sections weighed upwards of 300 pounds. Hand pulling the splitter into this area was virtually impossible due to it's weight and the sloping terrain. The task was solved by hooking up the Powrhitch Model 2, equipped with all terrain tires and on-board battery power, and towing the log splitter some 40 feet into the shrubbery bed to begin work. The precise control of the Powrhitch enabled them to thread their way in and around the plantings to the desired setup sight.
At the end of the day, the job was accomplished and the wood was all split and neatly stacked up to provide firewood for the coming cold winter nights. The Powrhitch was used to haul this loaded trailer of firewood out to the roadside. End result, not one piece of shrubbery was damaged in the process.
